Whenever we’ve had a spare second in between planning for upcoming product launches (watch this space), we’ve been glued to reports of Coachella 2012. As usual, the acclaimed festival has delivered some of the best fuss free, festival  fashion looks ever! And that’s just the way we like it at ModelCo, fuss free, convenient and above all, with good staying power.

Coachella has so far showcased some of the best dressed celebs and street fashion of 2012. But the hottest trend we saw? Glowing skin and a fresh face. BABY IN THE S U M M E R TIME

One of the best things about summer, is golden summer skin… There is something about a bronze glow that makes you feel healthier…. and skinnier!

In the wise words of “The Body” (Elle of course)… “Protecting your skin from the sun is the best beauty advice”… But this doesnt mean PALE is your only option.

TOP 5 TANNING TIPS….. The shortened version.

1. Sunscreen – This is probably the most important beauty essential of all time. Lather on SPF 30+ before an afternoon of baking in the sun (applying regularly) for the perfect base colour.

2. Bronzer – give your base colour the ultimate boost with a temporary ”wash off bronzer“. For a more natural look, we recommend avoiding bronzers that are loaded with shimmer and illuminators.

3. Mousse and Mitt -  Mousse self-tan formulation is probably the best option for those who struggle to get it right.. Apply with a mitt so that the colour is buffed into the skin, and use the bronzer as an application guide so that no areas are missed!

4. Spray Convenience – skip stained hands and hard to reach areas all together , and option for a spray self-tan. Generally, the spray formulations tend to last that little bit longer and are richer in colour - definately the pick when it comes to special events!

5. TOP TIP - D.I.Y tans should always be treated similar to a salon spray…. Leave for 4-6 hours to develop, then rinse excess tan off in the shower. This is the key to avoiding those tanning disasters… more commonly found in the Jersey Shore.
